General Discussion & Information
Ryan Wells Consulting, which is my website development business, was honored with a complimentary year’s membership in the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. This is a result of efforts made to repair the organization’s website, which was damaged by an overseas hack.

New Text Message Notification Feature Added
rwells : February 16, 2011 03:18 : General Discussion & InformationHi everyone,
I have been happy with the way the Subscribe 2 plugin allows members of the site to receive notifications via email when there are updates to the site, and how it allows members to choose what categories they would like to be kept informed about. Unfortunately, there is no feature in this plugin for text messaging, which is a shame, because that can be a really convenient way to receive updates.
So I searched the WordPress plugin repository for something that would accomplish this, to no avail. There are some SMS plugins out there, but they didn’t allow for users to select categories to subscribe to. Since I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I spent the last couple of days developing my own script to solve the problem, and it’s working now, so enjoy!
Just hover the mouse over the dashboard section of the admin bar (I added a little feature to make the admin bar appear at the top of the window instead of the side), and you’ll see the drop down with the link Text Message Notifications.
One of the most awesome dudes to ever live, a great contributor to the avant garde music of the sixties and seventies, and friend and collaborator of Frank Zappa, succumbed to multiple sclerosis yesterday. Rather than discuss his life here, you can find out about his life via the following links:

He will be sorely missed.
I just discovered that you are considered to be a junior transfer if you have completed all of your sophomore coursework and will be starting the UC as a junior. In this case, you will only need to provide your junior college transcript information on the application. If you will be starting at the UC as a freshman or sophomore, you will need to provide high school transcript information, including SAT scores.
